This is definitely my first post

After years of blogging, microblogging, friendstering, posting, liking, tweeting, and doing any number of social media things, I think it's time to do a blog that is categorically destined to abject failure - a "personal observation" blog.

I'm not sure how it took me so long to do this. It certainly wasn't a lack of hubris.
